I created a set of font characters called Litterae feminarum as part of my "Women and Immortality" series exploring aging in the 21st century. The themes of time, mortality, and beauty are intermingled with characters reminiscent of ancient vessels that might store the viscera of our lives in the hereafter. The shapes allude to amphorae, canopic jars, chalices, reliquaries, perfume flasks, and shards.
